Photo example confusion

The photo in this article (shipchimney.jpg) claims the view is from abaft of the funnel. I would contend that the image is actually looking aft rather than forward. Ventilation cowls almost always face forward so that the motion of the vessel draws air into them. Additionally, the pilot wheel is mounted backwards if this is indeed facing forward, and there is a funnel squarely in the view of the pilot. I believe the caption should be changed.
