Concept art

Are these concept-art images copyrighted? -- Wapcaplet 02:17, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

What does SP stand for? Its the blue bar in the middle and its never used.--72.83.129.240 (talk) 17:02, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Originating page lists no copyright, nor are there any copyrights shown on or embedded in the images as far as I can tell. Still though, if preferable, I could replace the character graphics by in-game screenshots that I'll make myself... :: DarkLordSeth 13:11, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Well, just because there is no copyright stated does not mean the images are necessarily in the public domain or GFDL-licensed. Unless you make the image yourself, or have express permission from the copyright holder to use images on Wikipedia, use of copyrighted images is generally frowned-upon. Check out the image use policy for details. IMHO, it'd be better to use in-game screenshots, since those are usually considered fair use (see here). They are nice concept drawings, though - you may want to see about contacting the creator(s) for permission to use them here. See this page for tips on how to do that. Cheers! -- Wapcaplet 21:30, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Copy that! I'd love to do this but uhm... The copyright owner's webpage is in Japanese. Even though I can find my way around based on sheer luck and slight hints of english on that site, I don't know if they'll read or reply to a request made in english. Then again, no pain, no gain! I'll comment the character graphics for the time being until I got a positive reply from Game Arts. And thank you for the templates and further info regarding screenshots. :) :: DarkLordSeth 23:18, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Someone has re-added the pictures. I removed them again, since the copyright issue has yet to be resolved. --JiFish 19:47, 20 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Storyline inconsistencies

Please disregard the horrible storyline inconsistencies. I do not want to wrte down horrible spoilers for people who haven't yet played this ( imho, excellent ) game. DarkLordSeth 18:21, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Inhibiting Glitches

Could someone please dig up some information on the "inhibiting glitches" mentioned in the first paragraph? I've played both the PC and PS2 version and I didn't see any. I would be nice if we could specify what these glitches are. --JiFish 19:49, 20 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about the PS2 version but with the pc port it does have a few bugs, when a player casts a spell most of the time in the background or replacing the characters onscreen an avi video file will play with the fire or "ice" etc spell images. The problem is that it will not continue the battle until playback of the movie has been completed, and some movie file like "Millenia's fallen wings attack" have redundant frame data at the end of the file which give the appearance of a system freeze as it runs for atleast two minutes more than it should. By editing the avi file and removing the excess frames you can fix one of the annoying bugs in the game yourself or you could insert your own video and have lord of the rings run for 9 hours each time certain attacks are selected. Atirage 13:04, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Those bugs are all real. I've personally experienced the Millenia Battle bug. Izaak

I can't say anything about the PC version, but I never seen any Glitches in the PS2 version, and the "Millenia'a fallen wing attack" is my favorite and use it alot, I have never experience any glitches! Manc84 11:30, 29 December 2006

I have the ps2 version and i've not seen any glitches with milenia's attack.i've got a prob with zap coz sometimes my ps2 game freezes :((imagine not having done save)--85.73.80.25 21:29, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:G2dcboxart.jpg

Image:G2dcboxart.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:04, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

seiyū?

Do we really need to use a Japanese term for "voice actor" on an English language wiki? Not everyone is some huge Japanophile, and using this term could confuse regular English speakers.01:53, 2 September 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.226.117.104 (talk)

Apostrophes

No time to fix it at the moment, but all the possessive apostrophes (e.g. "Bob's") seem to be missing from the plot section. 109.157.73.146 (talk) 20:24, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Grandia II. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

  • Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.gamespot.co.uk/stories/reviews/0,2160,2044013-2,00.html
  • Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.japan-gamecharts.com/dc.php
  • Attempted to fix sourcing for //ps2.gamezone.com/gzreviews/r16838.htm

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
