I always used to think that Jaguar Cars used and still uses the Vanden Plas name in the USA instead of Daimler because of Daimler AG owning the rights. I did, however, find out that the Daimler name isn't used because it is associated with trucks and not luxurious cars. I will have to find a source of this information.
