Greetings, all. I arise out of the lovely Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. I'm currently living in Philly, and have a PhD in modern European history.
My interests are mostly in European history, although I've contributed on a lot of different subjects. My dissertation project concerns European foreign relations in the mid-nineteenth century, so I'd welcome any questions about that stuff, since that's an area that I should actually theoretically have expertise in, but I write and edit articles about stuff much beyond that, and probably haven't done as much as I could on those areas.
Contacting me
If you'd like to contact me, please leave a note on my talk page. I list my e-mail address for Wikipedia e-mail purposes, but I've become convinced that openness is the key here - if you have something to say to me, say it to me on my talk page. Anything you have to say to me about Wikipedia should be available to all Wikipedia users. Please only send me a Wikipedia e-mail if I invite you to do so.
Other Wikipedia accounts
I have an account on the French Wikipedia, but I rarely use it.
I award myself this Barnstar for my tireless and heroic, but ultimately unsuccessful, efforts to save the Elephant (wikipedia article) article, the greatest article ever created on Wikipedia.
