"QIM" is the internet handle for Tom Smith. It derives from a spiritual project Tom did with autistics using Facilitated Communication FC in the early 1990s which produced a book they named "QIM/QIM Tunes". It's an acronym for "The Source I aM", with "Q" coming from the German word "quelle" meaning "Source". It's frequently used to describe the suspected source document, Q document, for the books of the New Testament.

Born in Tonawanda New York, attended State University of New York at Oneonta from '65-'69. My career for the next 35 years was in nursing, mental health, social work and with developmental disabilities. I'm divorced with two grown children and live in Santa Barbara Ca.
