Image copyright
Thanks for uploading the image Image:171_7107.JPG. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? Untagged images may be deleted, since we have no way of knowing whether it's legal to them. (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you want to reply, please use my talk page. Thanks, Oliver Lineham 00:12, 2004 Dec 20 (UTC)
- Hi, you asked what is the best way to donate to Wikipedia a photo you have taken yourself and uploaded. Yes, tagging it with {{GFDL}}. Although you probably agreed to the GFDL when you uploaded it, tagging images makes this explicit, and ensures your contribution will be included when Wikipedia is distributed. Largest Bus Company
Regarding Laidlaw with approximately 5,000 non-school buses, the company has many contract operations. The 2 Greyhounds (US and Canada) account for about 3,000. Those are my very rounded estimates. Laidlaw has been actively trying to sell-off the Greyhound units, and should that happen to anyone who doesn't already have a very large number of buses, KMB could then be clearly larger. Greyhound has added a number of Gray Line sightseeing operations in the U.S. in the past several years, but continued route cutbacks seem inevitable. BTW, The KMB article needs a lot more substance before it could make FA. Can you get more history, desciption of services, innovations? More text (vs lists) would be helpful in that regard. I am a Greyhound and Laidlaw watcher and I will try to keep you advised of developments. Let me know if you would like some links to good websites. Mark in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Re: Category:Transport in Hong Kong
Hello Dennis. I guess to a certain extent British spellings are still prevalent in Hong Kong. If you take a quick glance at category:Transportation by country you can tell most countries using Commonwealth English have their categories titled "Transport in" rather than "Transportation in". The manual of style and manual of style (spelling) do not govern which spelling should be preferred, but they do according to where the content is about.
The reason why most countries are titled "Transportation in" was because nearly all of these categories were created by a bot. The article "Transport in Hong Kong" is already titled in that way, and I guess the same should be done to its corresponding category. — Instantnood 07:54, Mar 21, 2005 (UTC)
First Bus and Citybus
They have now put the words "周大福企業及新創建集團成員" beneath their logos on the body of the vehicles. Are the words part of the logos? — Instantnood 18:05, Mar 21, 2005 (UTC)

wikEd
Hi, I have seen that you are using the Cacycle editor extension. This program is no longer actively maintained in favor of its much more powerful successor wikEd.
wikEd has all the functionality of the old editor plus: • syntax highlighting • nifty image buttons • more fixing buttons • paste formatted text from Word or web pages • convert the formatted text into wikicode • adjust the font size • and much, much more.
Switching to wikEd is easy, check the detailed installation description on its project homepage. Often it is as simple as changing every occurrence of editor.js into wikEd.js on your User:YourUsername/monobook.js page.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MTR.svg)
Thanks for uploading Image:MTR.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:42, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Request for help
A Chinese Wikipedia article zh:低地台巴士 stated something like "low-floor bus is a step-entrance bus", but this is different from the definition in article "low floor" and the accuracy of that Chinese Wikipedia article is in doubt. Could you have a look at that article (and also its talk page) so that the situation there can be improved? Thank you very much. 219.77.11.107 (talk) 03:06, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

question concerning Hong Kong
Hi Denis! I´ve an important question and as a Hong Konger you might know the answer. I´ve european citizienship and want to apply for a Hong Kong ID card (NOT the permanent one, just the ordinary without the right of abode) in order to be able to apply for a job in Hong Kong. Are there any possibilities for me to get this card? Many thanks for you help in advance! Dagadt (talk) 15:22, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answer! I´d like to get it for the Cadet Pilot Program of Cathay Pacific to become their pilot. Unfortunately a HKID card is required for applying. (Notice that I need just the ordinary one without the right of abode, that might improve the situation) Dagadt (talk) 11:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Bad luck for me...But would it be possible for you to check what requirements there are to get an ID card - no matter if I meet them or not? Because on the gouvernments web site I couldn´t find any requirements. Dagadt (talk) 08:52, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
