Started Impeachment in the Philippines, using Impeachment in the United States as the precedent. Data on the planned attempt(s) on Garci, Abalos, even Davide sometime ago, the successful one on Estrada, and Arroyo who has so many complaints, can all be placed there. I suggest a special article on Arroyo's impeachment be made only after the 79 signatures are confirmed, followed with the trial. Hope you approve :) --Noypi380 11:31, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
You're deleting my posts!
Hi Howard,
I know you've been arround in Wikipedia for some time already and have been contributing to Philippine related articles.
However, you were removing my post especially in Philippines category. I know I am posting my own website in that category or page. however, my website is not a commercial website. The website PhilippineCountry.com was made by my wife to feed her passion on travel and site seeing.
I hope you will stop removing my link.
Thanks. Best regards, Ariel Lim From Cebu, Philippines
- Hello there. Even though your website is not for commercial purposesm you are still spamming. See the guidelines at WP:EL and WP:SPAM. In fact, all of your contributions have been for the promotion of your website. Wikipedia is not the place for promotion.
- However, you can add a link on your user page, just like what I did on my blog, which is linked to my user page. --Howard the Duck 03:39, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Pugad Baboy cover
Hello. Is it OK to post a cover of one of the Pugad Baboy compilations, as long as I put a tag such as {{book-cover}} on the image tag? I just wanted to show an image of the characters on that article. - 上村七美 | talk 09:42, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- As long as you provide the source and a tag (not obsolete, if I may add), User:OrphanBot wouldn't mind them. --Howard the Duck 09:46, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- If it is just a scan that I made, but with the {{book-cover}} tag on the comment field, is it still OK? I'm still thinking of uploading one and putting that tag. - 上村七美 | talk 09:50, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps {{Comicpanel}} is a better tag. --Howard the Duck 11:37, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Names of Filipinos today
I understand, and I accept.
I do believe, however, that it would only be proper to retain the accent marks in cases where individuals continue to use them today in writing any Spanish or Spanish-spelt names they may have, most notably people like F. Sionil José, etc. —Lagalag 03:24, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- I also concede that those born during the Spanish era and those who might have Spanish blood be retained. Thanks for understanding. --Howard the Duck 03:26, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Advice on Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal
Thanks for the advice about the {{tv-screenshot}} tag, will do it next time (unless there is still a way for me to change the tags of my uploaded images). Thanks again. John earlm 17:17, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry, when I was starting here I was worse hehehe. --Howard the Duck 05:44, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
hi... I'm still researching for the list of losses but it probably includes important ones considering they loss all the time rather than winning or drawing a game... of course the team is currently improving and capable of winning matches in Asian level.... --peads 21:46, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I was just worried some other guy would slap it with a {{NPOV}} tag since it only lists wins and draws (I do wonder though how long would the losses be?). And don't worry, I support any Philippine national team hehehe. --Howard the Duck 08:37, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
2nd opinion on Baguio City
I have no idea why two links are so important to people but there's a small edit war over the two external links in the Baguio City article. I can't anything wrong with either of them (my talk page has some background on this. Could you be so kind as to give me a second opinion on their validity, from a 'locals' point of view. Thanks. --Alf melmac 13:55, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up at the Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1 article. At least, the article's now better. BTW, I got the idea of uploading the screenshots from the DVDs from the Big Brother All-Stars article. - 上村七美 | talk 14:03, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, screenshots are preferred than the pics from the websites. Also, can you do it on the other editions? --Howard the Duck 14:06, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't have the DVDs from the other editions, especially from the Celebrity edition (which is out now). But if I might buy the DVDs, I might upload them like I did in the first season. - 上村七美 | talk 14:10, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia References on Super 14 champions
Is there something wrong with refering from an other wikipedia article?--HamedogTalk|@ 14:13, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- As much as possible, an external source is better. Like the official website perhaps? Most of the FLs I've encountered use references rather than Wikipedia. --Howard the Duck 14:33, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, well the article I mainly referenced, 2006 Super 14 season had all tables tho.--HamedogTalk|@ 14:52, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- If you can replace the Wikipedia references with those of an external site I'll support it. One thing though, are you willing to merge this and Super 12 into a List of Super rugby champions? That'll give continuity to the article. --Howard the Duck 14:57, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- I will change the external links. Me and User:Cvene64 discussed merging them together, but came to the consensus that it will result it different number of games played for each season. That coversation is on his talk page and mine (they are spilt between), so you might wanna look at that. Just out of interest, rugby union can't be that popular in the Philippines?--HamedogTalk|@ 15:06, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, I suggested that there would be two sections, one for Super 12 and one for Super 14, this can be explained at the lead. About Philippine rugby union, we have a national team, but just like the football team, very few people care enough. --Howard the Duck 15:15, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- I have changed the references. Your suggestion does make sense, but I think it may confused people who are unfamiliar with the Super 12/14. Plus, Cvene64 and myself have reached a consensus that they be seperate. --HamedogTalk|@ 15:27, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Alright Howard, please do the reverting of gfdl tags at the images at KDOND. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, still new at the world of wikipedia. Just stick with the tv-screenshot tags. I guess i'll do the rest of my uploaded photos.
- Don't worry, did them already a while ago. Can I ask: what's your software? --Howard the Duck 16:59, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
STOP reformatting The Toyota and Crispa articles. I created it and did the research WHICH YOU DIDN"T. I think my formats are better than you putting "Players of Note" which is a stupid heading anyway.
I credited the people who actually wrote the article because they DID WRITE THE PIECE and deserve to be noted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.72.100.4 (talk • contribs)

One last time. PLEASE Do not touch the article unless you have something new and valid to contribute. I am sorry if I offended you but I am also offended by your changes!
- Ok, sorry, but we do have to work it out. What do want to remain in the articles? --Howard the Duck 05:12, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't want to work it out with you. I want the article in their original form. Team Captains and Starting Five recognition and ALL. PLEASE STOP. Obviously you are not familiar or lived through the rivalry of these two teams. I HAVE! Don't apply your NBA/PBA standars on these two. JUST STOP. Focus your attention on the current PBA Teams where you are an expert.
- Point me a basketball team page where they have a starting five. Obviously, you don't care about policies. We are following standards. Don't push the POV of "they are the greatest", otherwise Wikipedia articles would have been mess. Please. --Howard the Duck 07:14, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
3RR
You have been blocked for 24 hours for violating the three-revert rule at Crispa Redmanizers. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but please also make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. Thanks! :-) --Chris S. 08:38, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Why me? I've listed the offender at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR then I was blocked? I was enforcing the policies and regulations. This is bizarre. --Howard the Duck 08:42, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- It has to be applied equally kasi. Please read WP:3RR#Enforcement. --Chris S. 08:48, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ganoon ba talaga? My reverts were legit though. Can you just semi-protect the Crispa and Toyota pages? --Howard the Duck 08:49, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ganun na nga. Since you apparently weren't aware of that part of the rule and that since you have a desire to work with him, I will shorten your block to three hours. As for protecting the page, I will wait and see what happens when his 24 hours are up. Also, when your block wears off, do not revert until after the last revert you done so you don't get blocked for 3RR again. --Chris S. 08:55, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. Point taken. I'll keep my hands off on those articles within the next 24 hours. Keep an eye on those articles, though. And thanks. --Howard the Duck 09:59, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Concerning the Kim Chiu article.
I've searched around, but noticed that Kim Chiu's article has been deleted. Just a reminder. - 上村七美 | talk 04:18, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- The deletion log said it was prodded. I don't know who prodded it, it wasn't on my watchlist. --Howard the Duck 04:20, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- Continuting on the conversation... Actually, I don't know where to start. I didn't create the original article. That article isn't in my watchlist either. So far, as a precautionary measure, I unlinked her name. In the meantime, I've just split the Hero TV article into the info page and its list of anime. I also checked on other things. - 上村七美 | talk 15:00, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- Some other fan would recreate it anyway, lets just see. --Howard the Duck 15:05, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

España Map
Hi, I got disoriented with your España map because it seems to be a mirror image. UST is on the northern side instead of the southern side. E. Rodriguez Sr. goes to the southeast instead of the northeast. Mayon goes north instead of south, etc. =P --seav 16:28, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I noticed that too, because I flipped the image on PowerPoint (it was originally horizontal then I rotated it). I'll be fixing it. Thanks for pointing it out. --Howard the Duck 01:25, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Any contribution you can make here is very welcome. I started it in order to remove it from the Fraternities and Sororities page and it got out of hand. :) Most of the edits to it unfortunately seem to be vandalism and those that aren't mostly don't pay attention to the subject header.
The article started out as not being called a list, but I don't know enough non-list information to even start moving it away from being a pure list. I'm glad to see a Filipino who is a registered user contribute to it. I'm an alumnus of Alpha Phi Omega of the United States... Naraht 13:02, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I also don't know enough about them, but I'm looking forward in reorganization of the sections into names by letters. The problem is that since many of them are in Greek letters, should I classify them by our present alphabet (instead of the letter "alpha", its letter "A")? --Howard the Duck 16:10, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Alphabetization by english spelling of greek letter is the standard on the other fraternity and sorority related pages. I don't think that it makes sense to split them into different pages by name. The major split-out that makes sense to me is to split the engineering and law groups onto their own pages, unfortunately, that is only about 10-15% of them.
- I've considered splitting them by locals vs. nationals, but unfortunately that doesn't reflect level of notoriety. Upsilon Sigma Phi is actually one of the better known and documented fraternities in the Philippines, but it only has two chapters at UP-Diliman and UPLB. In fact if notoriety was the guiding principle, splitting them into Fraternities with chapters at UP-Diliman and those that don't would makes sense. 1/2 :) Naraht 16:31, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, although I must've made it clear that i'll be resectioning them within that same page, by letter. Like, Alpha would be at ==A==, Upsilon at ==U== etc. Although classifying them by letter seems to be better than nationals vs. locals. How about per university/college? --Howard the Duck 16:36, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I understand, sectioning inside the page by english letter is fine, though you aren't going to have all 26. If you think the extra title bars need to be repositioned as part of that go ahead. As for per university/college, I don't see that working. Group A is at schools 1,2,3,4, Group B at 2,4, & 5, Group C at 4, etc. Besides for a good number of them we don't even have chapter lists, much less which of them are active. What is your opinion on the engineering/law pullout? Naraht 17:02, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. I think we should split them off when the main page gets very long. --Howard the Duck 17:07, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Is there any way to tell the size of a page before the system starts complaining? Naraht 17:55, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. A notice would be at the top when you edit it. Try editing the Philippines article for an example. --Howard the Duck 03:36, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- I mean before you get up to the point where it complains. How do I find out how big it is at this time. Naraht 11:46, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- The system doesn't really complain, it just posts a notice when you edit it. Check out Wikipedia:Article size. --Howard the Duck 11:58, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Philippine History
Howard Duck, please don't censor the article about Philippines under the guise of upholding Wikipedia NPOV policy. Let the facts of Philippine history be presented. Is that what you consider nationalist POV? Please don't cover-up the facts. Don't be a hostage or a purveyor of the imperialist or colonialist POV. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amante de la Paz (talk • contribs)
- I'm not censoring the article. You see, we're making the Philippines article into featured standard. And we have to make the history section shorter. Does it matter now that there were 800 people who died, after all Philippines as a country didn't exist at that time. They were Cebuanos or Ilocanos. And even if you'd remove the imperialist or colonialist POV and replace it with nationalistic POV it it still POV and violates NPOV. And next time, sign your posts here. Thanks. --Howard the Duck 02:56, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
A colonial mentality POV is not a NPOV. Don't let colonial mentality cloud your view. How could you expect to have a featured article with a colonial mentality POV and glaring omissions of historical facts. Of course, it's important what happened to Cebuanos or Ilocanos. It's not nationalistic POV to present the facts, and certainly not contrary to Wikipedia NPOV policy.--Amante de la Paz 08:15, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- It is not omission. The History section on the Philippines article ought to give a summary, not a blow-by-blow account. Also, what I did wasn't colonial mentality (don't ever accuse me that, I'm perhaps more nationalistic than you think). Again the History seciton on the Philippines article must be a summary. --Howard the Duck 13:16, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Deletion of Politicvs
I would like to state that although Politicvs is a new organization in Letran, however, its beginnings were illustrious.
It is very much prudent on my part to ask that you: first allow that it be posted and its entire history be placed. You might find its history appealing.
Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.5.108.236 (talk • contribs)

Special Request: University of Santo Tomas
Hi there!
I just wanted to thank you for what you have done and contribute to our beloved Alma Mater, the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, Maraming Salamat! I really commend you for that!
ah... kung pwede lang (If you don't mind) can you please "re-write" our University History and Organizational Structure (Academics) in our page? kasi sa nakikita ko (in my own perspective) medyo hindi naipapakita ng mabuti ang mga faculties, colleges at pati na din ng mga institutes at departments... for example, madalas na ipinagsasama ang mga Ecclesiastical Faculties at ung mga Secular Faculties, na very different ang nature, tapos sa mga departments, parang mas nabibigyan ng pansin ang DMST, kesa sa mga ibang mga institutes and departments... *sighs* unfair naman iyon sa mga ibang departments tulad na lang ng IPEA (Institute of Physical Education and Athletics) at ng IR (Institute of Religion) would that be ok?
lastly, I have a suggestion, I am planning kasi na mapakita din natin ang mga different colleges, faculties at mga Institues ng maayos, para mas maintindihan ng mga tao kung anu-ano ang mayroon tayo... in fact, may nakita nga akong webpage ng Faculty of Engineering dito... ndi ko lang sigurado kung taga-atin nga ang gumawa... willing naman akong mag-hanap ng mga data tungkol sa mga iba't-ibang mga departments dito sa USTe...
well, hanggang dito na lang muna ako, nga pala, isa akong AB-BSE Social Sciences Major... Thank you for letting me share my thoughts and again MARAMING SALAMAT!
- Hibiki
- Hello there Hibiki, I suggest that you create an account so you can create articles. Although I'd agree the UST article isn't that complete, I will need all of the help i can get, and thanks.
- What we need here are sources. Not just websites but hardcopies (Varsi, handbook, etc.). Sadly, my handbook has been misplaced and my Varsis got wet during the storms (I didn;t secure it properly), so I'll be needing help on those.
- About the different departments, thare are even departments that aren't mentioned, so we need to mention them. Again, we need references.
- Thanks for your help. And don't forget the Wikipedia policies of neutral point of view and no weasel words and everything will be fine. Thanks again! --Howard the Duck 10:32, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
