WT:LGBT page layout

Hi! Although I think the changes are an improvement I have one quibble, the mobile accessibility has gone down a bit. Now when I go there, the table of contents seems to be gone until I access the <read as a wiki page> function. Even then the section titled run off the side of my screen, that’s new. And even if I turn my phone sideways the text run off the sides. If you would look into these I’d appreciate it, or if not I can post on the page. Gleeanon409 (talk) 05:53, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gleeanon409: There was an issue with the banner that was preventing the mobile view of the talk page from working. It should work now.--Trystan (talk) 13:55, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes! It’s working! Thank you! Gleeanon409 (talk) 18:49, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikimedia LGBTQ+ User Group is holding online working days in May. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.

We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.

More information, and registration details, at QW2021.--Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group 03:00, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Interview

Hi, I am a PhD student at University College London (UK), researching the collective production of knowledge. Wikipedia is my main case study. Would you be able/willing to talk to me about your activity on Wikipedia?

I have submitted my project to the Wikipedia research committee for guidance. You can find the full summary here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Sociotechnical_epistemology:_how_do_we_foster_good_practices_in_collective_knowledge-production%3F

There's more on my user page and you can ask me any questions. We can discuss identification, uses of data and so forth before talking as well. If you're interested, you can contact me via my Talk page, or by emailing me at elena.falco.18@ucl.ac.uk

Thanks! ElenaFalco (talk) 15:45, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Trystan: I noticed you have a lot of experience as an editor and are part of Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies. I would appreciate your input on my draft for YouTube Pride 2021. You can find the draft here: User:Peony1432/sandbox. I should disclose that I have a conflict of interest because I work for Google. Thank you for your careful consideration.Peony1432 (talk) 23:06, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Peerage titles and honorifics: MOS amendments

I have made a proposal to amend the MOS at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biography#Peerage titles and honorifics amendments; you might be interested to contribute to the discussion. DBD 14:02, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just a note: changing which to that is not an improvement. I'm not complaining. Regards Denisarona (talk) 09:05, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

thank you ...

Old peer review

You seem to be missing many LGBT peer reviews that did happen but are at old titles, or redirects, e.g. Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies/Peer review/Cleveland Street scandal and Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies/Peer review/James Dobson. DrKay (talk) 17:16, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@DrKay: Thanks for letting me know. I think every PR that had a redirect starting Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies/Peer review/ now has a redirect starting Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBTQ+ studies/Peer review/, so they should work with the post-move project banner template. I've restored the old-peer-review parameter for everything I had removed it from. The only exception is for Talk:Cultural depictions of Matthew Shepard, which as far as I can tell did not ever have a peer review of any kind; the PR parameter was likely copied over inadvertently from the parent article when the talk page was created.--Trystan (talk) 18:52, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Happy First Edit Day!

Hey, Trystan. I'd like to wish you a wonderful First Edit Day on behalf of the Wikipedia Birthday Committee!
Have a great day!
