Location of Ashanti Region in Ghana

The Ashanti Region is one of the 16 regions of Ghana. In 2010, 4,780,380 people lived there. It has an area of 24,389 km2 (9,417 sq mi). The capital and largest city is Kumasi. It has 27 districts. The region is known for its gold bar and cocoa production.
