Athletics

Evergreen Valley has had a strong athletic tradition since the opening of the school. Sports that are offered are cross country, football, tennis, volleyball (girl's only), water polo, basketball, soccer, wrestling, badminton, baseball, softball, swimming, and track and field. Many of the sports consistently rank in the top of the Blossom Valley Athletic League, ranking 5th out of 22 schools in the league's "Best of the Best" standings.

Laptops

The school issued laptops with wireless connections to its students during the first year, but as enrollment increased from 850 students to 1500 during the school's second year, the machines were not allowed to travel off-campus, in anticipation of increased breakage rates.

Laptops are no longer issued for students, but are used as class sets in various classrooms.

Additions

Due to high student enrollment EVHS is building a new building to house new class rooms and administration facilities as well as bringing in portable classrooms. This will raise the student capacity from 2400 students to around 3000 students at a cost of 250 million dollars. The building is set to be finished in late 2007.

Newspaper

The school's newspaper is named The Prowler.

Boundary Issues

There have been some boundary issues during the start of the project. The south boundary has been optional through the process, and the original boundary has been up to Tully and White Road. The northern optional boundary has been the optional boundary for years since the people fought it to a standstill.
