Apedemak

Apedemak was a lion-god worshipped in Nubia. He may, as Maahes, have been imported to Egypt. This lion god was used as a sacred guardian of the decesed Pharaoh. Anyone who touched the Pharaohs grave was said to be cursed by this Apedemak.
