Mount Barker (postcode 6024) is a town of about 5000 people in the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. A quarry to the east of the town is one of two major sources of spongolite, also called "Mount Barker Stone".

Mail and occasionally emergency phone calls are sometimes accidentally exchanged with Mount Barker, South Australia. The two communities share some important street names.
