Frank Garcia (born January 28, 1972) is currently a free agent in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers as the 132nd pick of the 1995 draft. He has also played for the St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. Mr. Garcia played college football for the University of Washington Huskies. Although he did not play on the 1991 National Title team, he did have the privilege of playing a key role in the Huskies 1993 upset of the University of Miami.

Garcia has been quoted as saying that the greatest privilege of his professional career was playing alongside his fraternity mate, Rob "Big Dog" Dibble. Dibble -- or "Dibs" as his friends were know to call him -- was an elusive, powerful and skilled middle linebacker who once got to play three downs of "garbage time" in a late game, wherein he recorded one tackle for a loss. Unfortunately, after paring down his weight in the off-season in a desperate gambit induced to bag some D-G's, Dibble was demoted and never played again. Gracia was a drinker too; a man famous for having popularized the infamous "Arizona Special" which essentially involved sticking two forties in his mouth at the same time and "pounding them."

A little known fact about Garcia is that earlier in his career he was friends with legendary middle-school athlete Brandon Marsh. Although the whereabouts of Mr. Marsh are today unknown -- rumors of black helicopters and weed induced paranoia cannot be ignored -- he gained renown for his eighth grade 87 mile per hour fastball and relation to Jake The Alligator Man. Even today scouts are said to remark that it is a shame he "got bored" with baseball and did not pursue what was assuredly a lucrative and hall-of-fame caliber Major League career as pitcher/general manager. These comments should be taken with a grain of salt, however, as some of the same scouts have also publicly commented that Jake the Alligator Man would have made "one heck of a catcher."

Frank Garcia is now a high school football coach, wrestling coach, as well as the shot put and discus coach, and substitute teacher at Charlotte Catholic High School in Charlotte, NC. He also is a co-host on the Primetime with the Packman show. A Charlotte, NC sports radio show.
