Nick Pickard (born 16 April, 1975 in Oxford, United Kingdom) is an English actor that plays Tony Hutchinson in British Channel 4 teen soap opera Hollyoaks. He is currently the longest serving cast member and starred in the very first episode in 1995. Since then the character of Tony has developed and viewers have seen him with numerous girlfriends and run-ins with the local students.

Nick's brother John Pickard also appears in Hollyoaks playing Dominic Reilly, Tony's brother.

Nick also played the lead role, Mio, in the movie Mio in the Land of Faraway as a boy. There he is credited as Nicholas Pickard. In 1994 Pickard also played a minor role in EastEnders, appearing as a young homeless boy, who was burnt to death when Phil Mitchell torched Frank Butcher's car-lot in an insurance scam.

Nick Pickard has become a cult figure amongst some student societies in the UK. Evidence of this can be seen on facebook, myspace and other social networking websites where many fan groups have been established.

Further evidence of the cult status attained by Hollyoaks comedy cafe owner 'Tony Hutchinson' can be found on the web.

The popular blog NewsSpoon [1] has 24 hour Sci-Fi reality TV soap opera 2099: The Magnesium Wars starring Nick Pickard as Aaron Spacehero, the only man standing in the way of total universe domination by evil businessman Geoffrey M Magnesium. "It's the only metal I need, baby!" is his catchphrase.

Nick Pickard also made appearances in several video clips, such as "over My Shoulder" from "Mike and the mechanics" in 1995.
