Whitney Dean is a fictional character in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders. She is played by Shona McGarty. [1]

She is part of Bianca Jackson's family, the fifteen-year-old daughter of Bianca's previous partner, Nathan Dean, who died in a road accident in 2003.[1]
She is described as "a teenage drama queen, unable to engage brain before mouth and constantly [finding] herself in and out of trouble."[1] Bianca sees Whitney as one of her own, and also as "a friend and confidante".[1]
Whitney made her first appearance on 1 April 2008 when she along with her step-mother Bianca Jackson, her half-sister Tiffany Dean, and her step-brothers Liam Butcher and Morgan Jackson-King were being thrown out their house by their landlord.
Shona McGarty was not credited in the end credits for the 1 April 2008 episode, but was credited on the next episode on 3 April 2008 and subsequent episodes.
