Thiruvanmiyur is a place near Adyar in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This place once unknown is now an upcoming destination what with the Tidel Park very near to the Thiruvanmiyur MRTS Railway Station.

Thiruvanmiyur is the place where the legendary Marundeeswarar Temple is located. This temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva.

Thiruvanmiyur also houses the age-old Kalakshetra, which is famous world over for preserving the Indian culture and tradition, dance and other art forms.

Thiruvanmiyur is easily accesible by Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses and has its very own, huge, sprawling bus terminus.
