Apasra Hongsakula

Apasra Hongsakula of Thailand was crowned Miss Universe in 1965 in Miami Beach.

At 5'4", she is one of the shortest winners in the history of the pageant.

She also returned to the pageant as a judge in 1973 and 1979.

Apasra later married a first cousin of Queen Sirikit, and like the Royal Thai family, is still a much revered social figure in her country.
