Article on a stereotype about people from a certain part of Denmark. Wikipedia should not be perpetuating this sort of "knowledge." --Smack 19:16, 15 May 2004 (UTC)
- Political correctness is NOT my cup of tea. Still, this stinks. I've listed it for speedy deletion as well. - Lucky 6.9 19:23, 15 May 2004 (UTC)
- No vote. It's bad as it is, but it could become better. The concept as such is certainly encyclopedic, if treated in a NPOV way. Of course, in this case there's the risk that the best thing it could become is a good stub. -- Jao 19:28, 15 May 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Encyclopedias "perpetuate" all knowledge. It is also at the Dansk 'pedia, so I think it is not nonsense. Mikkalai 03:23, 16 May 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, agree with Mikkalai. Everyking 05:06, 16 May 2004 (UTC)
- Comment: I guess if we've got nigger we could keep this too, but it really stinks IMO. I disagree that this is knowledge. Ethnological data perhaps, but not knowledge. No vote at this stage. Andrewa 05:58, 16 May 2004 (UTC)
- You might be willing to fix the Knowledge article :-).Mikkalai 15:38, 16 May 2004 (UTC)
- I wrote this because I stumbled upon molbo in the Danish wikipedia. A molbo is a word I think most people who speak either Norwegian or Danish know because at least in Norway there is lots of molbostories about the people in molboland which is often thought of as a fictional country with only stupid people, there is even several children's books of molbostories. Before I saw this on the Danish wikipedia I had no idea that it was actually originally refering to someone from the Danish area Mols, so I thought this was an interesting fact. This is not used as a derogatory term about people from Mols, if used as a derogatory term about someone it is usually about politicians who make stupid decisions.
