The Elias Fund is an organization benefitting Zimbabwe youth. It was founded by the American band Dispatch. Dispatch's lead singer Chad Urmston went to Zimbabwe for some time to teach Zimbabwean youth. When there,Chad met a man named Elias and the two became friends. Elias's wife and two kids (Manuel and Honest) live in Section 17 of Zimbabwe.

The Elias fund aims to provide "hope and opportunity through education to the next generation of Zimbabwe youth"..

While in Zimbabwe Chad Urmston wrote this journal entry... "I woke up a little discouraged this morning whether it be my own doings that leave me feeling down or it¹s the confusion brought by the revealing of so many suffering and me in this house with tea and servants w/ people dying not far from me sometimes I wish I was living out there in those barren huts doing all I could to help. If I could save one life it¹d be worth it. I feel like I¹ve been given an opportunity to live so I should help others that may lose that, but how to do such I don¹t know ~ whether it be lack of courage or simply impossibility of situation - probably both." - written in 10/11/94 by Chad Urmston

While in Zimbabwe and Uganda during the fall, the Elias Fund adopted 65 children and started an ophanage for them.

Currently the Elias Fund is working on putting together multiple benefit concerts to help raise money for the fund which was only started in mid 2004.
