The W.M. Keck telescopes is the two biggest telescopes in the Mauna Kea Observatory. They are located on Mauna Kea peak on Hawaii at an altitude of 4,145 m (13,600 ft). With their 10 m (33 ft) mirrors they are the largest telescopes in the world. The Keck I started observing in 1993 and the Keck II in 1996. It is a Ritchey-Chretien type of telescope on an Altazimuth mount.
