The Showboat Hotel & Casino is a New Orleans themed casino in Atlantic City. The casino is owned by Harrah's Entertainment. It is the first casino (lined up) on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The property contains House of Blues Atlantic City and has suites under House of Blue. The hotel consists of eight restaurant including the Canal Street Bread & Sandwich Company, Mansion Cafe, French Quarter Buffet,and more. In May 2003, the Showboat made a new 544- room, $9 million dollar tower. This casino was opened by Eric Houssels.
