Ivor is an English masculine given name derived from Old Norse Ívarr (modern Scandinavian Ivar). The Old Norse name was also adopted in Gaelic-speaking Ireland and Scotland, in the spelling Ímar (modern Iomhar). It was also adopted in Wales in the spelling Ifor.
