Re:Steelers
editHey thanks! I've been working on it for basically one year, but it makes it all worth it when they win. The Chiefs' article looks good too, I salute you for keeping at it the whole season even though they did so poorly, I don't know if I could've stuck it out. The 2009 Chiefs season article looks great already, I'll try to root for the Chiefs some next year (except the game against Pitt, lol) they certainly deserve better than two wins! blackngold29 03:47, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Kansas City Chiefs
editCongratulations and many, many, many thanks for moving the Chiefs into good article status! Great job! Americasroof (talk) 13:19, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- I second that. I've always thought sports franchises were one of the most difficult types of articles to get promoted; hopefully it can stay at such a good quality. Keep it up! blackngold29 20:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Re:The Get Up Kids
editHey man, thanks! I'm in your position, and I just wanted the quality of the page to reflect that of the band. I'm like you though. They've been my favorite band for years, and it's great to see guys from the hometown make it that big. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 07:03, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Reference
editI saw you added a lot of information to 2009 Kansas City Chiefs season. One of the references is missing its url. Could you please provide it?

Kansas City Chiefs
editI understand maybe the too many headings thing, but not the individual seasons. After all, if your talking about a team that you beat, it's not referring to their whole franchise. --Levineps (talk) 04:56, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Kansas City Brigade
editI reverted your edits to Kansas City Brigade as you did not properly source that the team has folded. If you can find a reliable source on if the team has folded then source it. The team folding source is not gonna be found in the Arena Football League page and it is still disputed on rather the league has folded or not. Fair use rationale for File:JerryAndBrentGrey.JPG
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:JerryAndBrentGrey.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Clear (talk) 17:33, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Chiefs–Colts rivalry
editAn editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Chiefs–Colts rivalry. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chiefs–Colts rivalry. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:51, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Nomination of The distance (boxing) for deletion
editA discussion has begun about whether the article The distance (boxing), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The distance (boxing) until a concensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 22:38, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Sublime10thAnniversaryDeluxe.JPG
editThanks for uploading File:Sublime10thAnniversaryDeluxe.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 04:52, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:LivePhishHalloween.JPG
editThank you for uploading File:LivePhishHalloween.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:56, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Custom signature fix needed
editHi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically a missing formatting tag.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Add closing italic markup after the closing font tag in your signature, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
- Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.
More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures or respond here. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:21, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi there! This fix is still needed. When you add your signature to a talk page, it introduces errors into Wikipedia. Here's how to fix it:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Change the signature as shown below, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
- Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.
- Current signature:
<font color="#b20032">conman33</font><small> (. . .talk)</small>
- Fixed signature:
<span style="color:#b20032;">conman33</span><small> (. . .talk)</small>
- More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:25, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

I just realized that you created the above article, so my edit summary that you failed to notify the author was a bit silly. That said, you can tag your own article for deletion, but it's rather unusual, and it's the wrong tag. What's going on here?--Bbb23 (talk) 14:53, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
In retrospect I don't think this article contributes much. It seems as though this group recorded just this song. Two cited sources at bottom of the page. It seems kinda dated. The Chiefs have moved on from this song, as well. Just my thought. I'm not as active on Wikipedia as I was years ago, and just thought maybe we'd be okay without this one. conman33 (. . .talk) 23:32, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Major League Football
editHi, I understand why you put the league article and related articles for deletion, but I don't think the reason apply in this case. The league had two "major" attempts to start (2016 & 2022) and in both cases had a strong football figures as part of those attempts and had a strong references. As of now, the league - which is a public traded company - still in existence and tries to "come back". Furthermore, the league managed to operate longer than most minor leagues - they had a full draft for the 2016 season and started the preseason for the 2022 season before cancelling both. In essence, what I'm saying is that the league has a place in football history and in turn - a place in Wikipedia. BabyBOY789 (talk) 15:42, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

- The citation was in the body of the article beforehand, and I was simply summarizing it. In order to avoid clutter in the introduction/lede, and/or the possibility of duplicating the same article, they are not tagged. Sorry if you thought that was wrong, but the citation was pre-existing and I was simply summarizing it in the introduction. There are dozens of articles on Wikipedia that do the same exact practice. Thanks! Take care. conman33 (. . .talk) 00:49, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

editHi CNC33, I noticed that you have worked on the Never Miss a Super Bowl Club article. I proposed some updates for Jane Skinner's article related to her projects that highlight women's roles in the NFL. Would you mind taking a look? Thanks! Sadielousd (talk) 01:48, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- I just saw that and messaged for support. I hope that helps. CNC33 (. . .talk) 04:06, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

Alphabetical
editWhy do you feel screen should be first because it is alphabetically first? Nikkimaria (talk) 02:59, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- There are dozens of Wikipedia articles listed as "____ on stage and screen" or "____ on screen on stage". We need to make this consistent. CNC33 (. . .talk) 04:04, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- Has there been a discussion about which title to use? If no, that would be something that should happen before the mass moves. Nikkimaria (talk) 04:29, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- Agree. Christopher Walken on stage and screen just popped up on my watchlist due to a previous RM. I reverted that move, along with a couple of others that I noticed. The usual formation is "stage and screen" and this seems to have been pretty consistent before these moves. There's no reason to change these to alphabetical order. They should be moved back unless there's consensus for a change. Station1 (talk) 06:30, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- Coming here to agree with the three others who posted on this topic: the normal use in general English is "stage and screen" (in the context of "Olivier was a star of stage and screen"). We don't organise language by alphabetical order except in a dictionary - or we would end up with "lies madness that way", and have a language closer to that spoken by Yoda. - SchroCat (talk) 06:48, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- OK if that is the case then all of these articles need to be consistent with each other. There are even some with "on stage, screen, radio, and television" or "on stage, screen, television, and radio" etc. They should all be titled similarly. Thanks. CNC33 (. . .talk) 20:06, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- It depends on the coverage of the page. If the page cover the career history of someone on stage, screen, television and radio, the title should reflect that. - SchroCat (talk) 03:35, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, and that's fine. My point is there are some pages that list "screen", "stage", "radio" and "television all in different orders than others. I think if anything these pages should all be titled such as "List of _____ performances". CNC33 (. . .talk) 06:06, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- No - they should be left alone. Those that have them in different orders are likely those which follow the chronology of the artist's career, I would guess. List of X performances is a crap format: not every appearance is a "performance", so it's misleading (there's a reason the current format was chosen in the first place). - SchroCat (talk) 06:29, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Repairing your damage
editPlease see User:Nikkimaria's comments when repairing the damage you did to Noël Coward on stage and screen and other similar articles. It would be very helpful if you would consult fellow editors before going in with a sledgehammer. Tim riley talk 17:26, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
Some baklava for you!
editHello,
Thank you for your contribution to presidential election. I think it will shape America and the world. Regarding the inforBox photo, I would like some feedback on when and how we can finialize the RfC. It started in April 2024, so it's been quite a while now, so I hope we can replace the photo.
