editThanks for your contributions to Maks Pleteršnik. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Request for Constructive Review and/or Patrol
edit@TadejM: Hello! Would you please help me by reviewing and patrolling these 2 biographies I recently created: Joseph Bavaria and Maurizio Cecconi ? As I am still new to editing under an account (as opposed to random editing using IPs here and there over the years), it took me a significant amount of time to research, write, format and publish these 2 articles and I thought they would be patrolled in a couple of weeks tops, but it seems there is a huge backlog of unpatrolled pages and I thought I would reach out to a veteran and experienced medical editor like you to help me out. Sincerely, your fellow editor. Particleshow22 (talk) 14:41, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

The article Ain (spring) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Ain is just the Arabic word for "spring", not the name of a specific spring. The only source in this article also says so.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Zdravo Tadej, sem opazil, da si dopolnil zgornji članek in imam nekaj pripomb. "In 1783 it became part of Austrian Empire ...": si se morda zmotil? Hvala in lp, A09|(talk) 19:49, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- Da, seveda, moralo bi pisati "je bila oddeljena od Goriške in priključena Kranjski." Glede bombardiranja/raketiranja je oboje v redu, dokler je naveden vir. --TadejM my talk 19:55, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
--TadejM my talk 22:34, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

editYour recent editing history at 🌼 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. The Banner talk 12:33, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. You assume edit warring for no good reason and thus violate WP:AGF. There was a procedural reason for the revert. --TadejM my talk 12:37, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- So you think you have a valid excuse to edit war? Interesting stance. The Banner talk 12:53, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- I have stated my case in the edit summary and when I last checked, it was customary not to change pages if that would cause procedural troubles. I have checked your archives, which are full of edit warnings. You seem to be looking for trouble. ---TadejM my talk 13:19, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ow, so you try to hijack the redirect AND act in bad faith? Tssss... The Banner talk 13:27, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- You now seem to be engaged in a similar edit war over another emoji redirect: 🙎. Your first change was perfectly reasonable, as was The Banner's reversion. If you disagree with the target provisionally allocated by the previous RfD, the next step is to to raise another RfD, not to repeat your change. The RfD for 🌼 is productive and seems to be settling on a good target that neither of us preferred initially. Let's do the same for 🙎. I'm reluctant to patronise an admin by explaining all this, but sadly it seems necessary. By the way, I'm not stalking your contribution history. Problems caused by these changes are flagged up at the daily Templates with disambiguation links report, which The Banner and I monitor and act on. Certes (talk) 09:33, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation. Your edit was undone due to a faulty rationale referencing a discussion from 2017 where the closing admin specifically wrote: "that matter is left to editor discretion". I agree that it is best to discuss this at an appropriate place and will take it up at WP:RFD as you have proposed. --TadejM my talk 09:46, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- The full sentence gives another meaning than your selective quote: Whether they should point to a single generic article or to separate articles about the specific concepts represented has not been decided, so that matter is left to editor discretion. Even so, redirecting to a disambiguation pages is never a good idea. The Banner talk 12:49, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I don't see a difference in the meaning. Can you please explain it? --TadejM my talk 12:52, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- In your POV, the redirect can go anywhere. The closer of that discussion limited that to two options. The Banner talk 13:05, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, the first option is the article 'Emoji'. The second options is the article on a specific subject, which in this case is Pout as it provides the definition. --TadejM my talk 13:07, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- When linking to "Pout", you do not give a link to article on a specific subject. You give a link to nowhere... The Banner talk 13:22, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I wouldn't call a page in the article namespace mentioning the keyword and explaning it 'nowhere'. It contains a definition and is thus more than solely a list of disambiguated titles. --TadejM my talk 13:28, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- You do not link to a normal article but to a disambiguation page, a navigation aid. The Banner talk 13:38, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- As said, I am going to take it to WP:RFD to get further community input. --TadejM my talk 13:40, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. RfD sounds like the best idea, as other editors may be able to help us decide. Dab Pout does have a little information about the meaning, but no more than a dictionary definition (is a soft redirect to wikt:pout an option?) and most of the meanings such as Pout, Senegal and ocean pout are not relevant. Certes (talk) 14:48, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- You will have to wait a number of days with that as the redirect is now protected due to an edit war. The Banner talk 16:02, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- We can still start an RfD while the redirect is protected. We shouldn't be changing the redirect during the discussion anyway. Certes (talk) 16:07, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm glad we've now found a venue to discuss this amicably. --TadejM my talk 16:20, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

MMI X–XI (Extreme). Because of some weird things with USGS and MMI, I did implement
{{MMI|2-3}}
MMI II–III (Weak) as its own rank for the sake of allowing easy conversion; but that is only one. For EMS, it would be
{{EMS|2/3}}
EMS-98 II–III. Sorry I could not think of a better name; maybe you find a better suited name for this kind of earthquake module. Maybe Module:Earthquake? Awesome Aasim 17:13, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. I will have a look at this. --TadejM my talk 18:29, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- I have now implemented this in the infobox in 1895 Ljubljana earthquake and it seems fine. Thanks again. --TadejM my talk 09:30, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in a research
editHello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
