Speedy deletion notice

[edit]

A tag has been placed on SSX Tricky - Mesablanca, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade 05:42, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, one thing you could put is what "Mesablanca" even is. That's why I added the no context tag, most readers coming across that page wouldn't even know what they're talking about. Also, article subjects must be notable, and it looks like this article has the start of some promotional tone-we don't allow that at all, all articles must be written in a neutral tone. Ah, I see now! I had no idea that was related to a PS2 game before. :) I created a redirect at Mesablanca to point to SSX Tricky. These help readers to find articles by redirecting them to a "parent" article. My advice for right now: The SSX Tricky article is pretty thin as it is, and has only a list of courses. Why not put a bit of information into that article about each course? I'm not sure there's enough information on each course to justify a whole article for each, but I'm sure that article would benefit from a bit more depth. Absolutely! I've removed the speedy deletion tag from the created article, as the "no context" criterion no longer applies to it. I would still suggest merging it into the main SSX Tricky article though. If you'd like to do that, I can take you through the merge if you've not done one before.
