Approaching Metro Anaya

Metro General Anaya is a metro station on the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Churubusco district of Mexico City's Coyoacán borough.

The station is located at the corner of Calle Pedro María Anaya and the Calzada de Tlalpan, a busy north-south arterial route that runs down from the Zócalo in the centre of town. The station, and the street after which it is named, both commemorate 19th century general and president Pedro María Anaya, who was one of the commanders of the Mexican troops at the Battle of Churubusco that took place in this neighbourhood during the 184648 U.S. invasion of Mexico.

The station logo depicts a uniformed military officer standing next to a cannon.
