Cho is best known as the Ravenclaw seeker. Her talents "soar high" as a good Quidditch player. Cho was also known to be Cedric Diggory's girlfriend, and she cared about him very much; she was extremely sad when Cedric died after being cursed by Voldemort's slave, Wormtail.

Harry Potter also has a crush on Cho. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, we learn that she reciprocates this crush. Harry asked her to go with him to the Yule Ball, but she only blushed and said she was going with Cedric. (Harry instead went with Parvati Patil). The two admit their feelings for each other and date for a short time in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but the relationship is over by the time of the book's end. According to Ginny Weasley, Cho is now seeing Ginny's ex-boyfriend, Michael Corner.
