Christian Democratic Union of Germany

The Christian-Democratic Union (CDU - Christlich Demokratische Union) is a political party in Germany, founded by Konrad Adenauer. Current party leader Angela Merkel.

In Bavaria, CDU's role is instead played by CSU. The two sister parties cooperate on the federal level.
