Fddfred, thank you for your comment. Please see Wikipedia:Copyright problems for more information about our copyright policy, especially the Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia section near the top of the page. It is generally unwise to simply publish text from a site promoting the subject (in this case, your university) on Wikipedia, because oten the text will appear to endorse the subject, violating our Neutral Point of View policy. For the present, you can edit the temporary page with text that you've written youself. The previous contents of the page you copied off the website can be found in the History of the original page. You may choose to follow the steps outlined at Wikipedia:Copyright problems and either license your university website as GFDL (which may be difficult, unless other members of your university agree), or send an email from your university e-mail address to the address shown at Wikipedia:Copyright problems, explaining the situation. Thank you. - Tangotango 10:16, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Iu phnom penh thmey campus.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. — Rebelguys2 talk 00:30, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Images

Hello, I noticed you speak Khmer and have uploaded some images of Cambodia. Do you have access to images of any of the Khmer Loeu (Stieng, Pear, Chhong, Samre, Phnong, Jarai, Rhade, etc.) people or their villages? If so, are you willing to upload them for use in articles? Please notify me at User_talk:WilliamThweatt if you do upload any such images. Thanks.--WilliamThweatt 03:40, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject notices

Hi. I noticed you placed these at the bottoms of several university articles; I believe they actually should be placed at the top of the articles' talk pages, thanks. Paul_012 (talk) 04:21, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Iu cambo logo2.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Iu cambo logo2.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:08, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
