Template:Infobox Indian urban area Vastrapur is a census town in Ahmadabad district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is located in this area. The area is famous because of the Vastrapur Lake which is a popular tourist spot.

Demographics

As of 2001 India censusTemplate:GR, Vastrapur had a population of 24,438. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Vastrapur has an average literacy rate of 87%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 89%, and female literacy is 84%. In Vastrapur, 8% of the population is under 6 years of age.
