Microwave oven
Appearance
A Microwave oven is a kitchen appliance employing a beam of microwaves to cook food.
It consists of
- a magnetron control circuit (usually with a microcontroller),
- a magnetron,
- a waveguide, and
- a cooking chamber.
Microwaving food is fast and popular, but there are hazards because food is often cooked unevenly. For this reason, many ovens also have automatic 'stirrers'.
