Image:WTPGlossy.jpg has been listed for deletion

[edit]
An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:WTPGlossy.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Typicaly images are listed on WP:IFD because they are orphaned (not used in any article). If an image doesnt have a source/license (which yours had a source), they get tagged with {{no source}} or {{no license}} and are deleted in 7 days. This image was deleted on the 17th, and I tagged the image at 00:52, 11 January 2006 and i did find the entry which was at [1] and it was listed because it was Orphaned, with no license tag and a possible copyright violation from willtopower.net where I couldnt find a copyright notice. If the image was used in an article I would have tagged it {{Non-free fair use in}}. --Admrb♉ltz (T | C) 06:57, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You are free to upload an image again, but please in the image summary let us know that its self photography and that there is no copyright on it, and use it in an article. --Admrb♉ltz (T | C) 17:30, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Closeupsage.jpg)

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Closeupsage.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 10:39, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:BobMiamiFace.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BobMiamiFace.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:07, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:WTPGlossy(edited).JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:WTPGlossy(edited).JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:57, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Long tunnel.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Long tunnel.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:06, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
