Fly Gibraltar is an airline being set up by Gibraltar based OEM International, intending to fly to various destinations in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The airline claims that it will commence flying in April 2007, however recent speculation claims its on hold till June.

Fly Gibraltar will be based and will operate all its flights out of Gibraltar Airport.

The airline plans to operate on the low-cost model, though it has said that it will offer some "frills" like allocated seating, and a selection of hot and cold meals and beverages.

Destinations

This is a list of proposed destinations for Fly Gibraltar to serve. All operations will start in June 2007. The airline originally planned to serve Cork in Ireland but this destination will not be served.[1] The airline has also said that due to the Cordoba Accord (which frees Gibraltar from air restrictions) that it may consider operating services to other European and North African destinations.

Manchester as the main airport.

Flight Simulation

Flight Simulator 2004 saw the release of the original Fly Gibraltar livery practically immediately after a request from Tony Evans was made and some advertisment of the airline by Fish1989 on the airline

The same painter per request has also made the new livery as shown on the Fly Gibraltar webpage for 50North Simulations Boeing 737 aircraft. A freeware version is not yet available.

There have been a few flights in this aircraft with screenshots posted on the web.

The original livery of the Fly Gibraltar 737 can still be found on AVSIM.
