Dalton McGuinty Sr.

Dalton McGuinty Sr. was the father of Dalton McGuinty, who took office as Premier of Ontario, Canada in 2003 and David McGuinty, MP from Ottawa South. The elder McGuinty was a professor and an MPP for Ottawa South from 1987 until his death in 1990 from a sudden heart attack.

He was married to a nurse, Elizabeth McGuinty, with whom he had nine sons and a daughter.
