Barbara Bauer

On the mailing list, it was noted that there will not be an official message from the office regarding the Bauer situation. Should we re-open this discussion, or open a new one on the 26th? Note that the DRV notice on the Bauer page currently points here. --badlydrawnjeff talk 15:37, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Given that information, I don't think it matters much whether the prior discussion is reopened or a new one is started. I still think it would have been much better to have awaited today's clarification before starting the discussion to begin with, as a matter of caution, but I guess in this instance it turned out to be harmless. I still disagree, but that's neither here nor there. I don't want to break the template, but you're an admin who understands the closing templates, so I'd appreciate it if you'd remove them and we can continue, or just tell me to reopen on the next day. --badlydrawnjeff talk 15:52, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I (barely) understand AfD and MfD templates but am not a regular closer or template user on DRV, and I don't think this would be a good time for me to make my debut. I suggest you contact the admin who closed the DRV or one of the other regulars on that board. If he's around, having the person who closed the discussion reopen it would probably be the best way of proceeding. Newyorkbrad 15:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I firmly believe that there is no deadline applies just as much to getting content back as it does to creating content. So I'd suggest that a new discussion be started. The way that link works, it will go to the topmost (newest) discussion on the deletion review page; it is not a link to a date specific log. Just link the new discussion to the old one. And it would be a good idea to link to the mailing list email that there will not be an official action on this article. GRBerry 16:08, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
