Lakeside High School is a public high school located in Garland County, Hot Springs, Arkansas. The school was founded in 1928. It's located at 2871 Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs. In the most recent year, the school was attended by 572 students occupying grades 10-12, 530 of whom (92.7%) were white.

  • The current principal of the school is Daren Beckwith.
  • The current assistant principal of the school is Bruce Orr.

Athletics

The Lakeside team mascot is the Rams. The Rams are a AAAA-classification school, in the AAAAA Southwest conference along with Hope High School, Joe T. Robinson High School, J.A. Fair High School, Magnolia High School, Arkadelphia High School, Malvern High School, and Hot Springs High School.

In addition to football, Lakeside also fields teams in sports including golf, tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and bowling. The football team reached the state championship game in 1975 (where it lost to Stuttgart High School), but it has never captured the title. The Lakeside Cheerleading squad has won the state title 9 times in a row and is working on a decade sweep of the title. The tennis team has also been very successful. They have won every state championship since the beginning of AAA tennis.

Academics

Lakeside also boasts winning two Golden Apple awards. The most recent one (2006) ranked Lakeside as the number 4 school in the state based on academics.
