The Antelope Valley Line is a commuter rail line that serves the Northern Los Angeles County areas. The line is very rural in character because it travels through the high desert basin of the Antelope Valley. The Antelope Valley Line began service in 1992 opening with the Ventura County and San Bernardino lines It was one of Metrolink's first three lines. The route initally ran from Union Station in Downtown LA to Santa Clarita. It extended into Lancaster years later. In 1997 the Antelope Valley line operated on Saturdays.

The Antelope Valley line operates Monday to Saturday with 24 trains operating on the weekdays and 8 trains on Saturdays as of July 2004.

The Antelope Valley Line serves 10 stations

2. Glendale

3. Burbank

4. Sun Valley

5. Sylmar/San Fernando

6. Newhall

7. Santa Clarita

8. Via Princessa

9. Vincent Grade/Acton

10. Palmdale (future station)

11. Lancaster
