The Scale of the Universe is a 2010 interactive online visualization tool created by Cary and Michael Huang[1][2][3][4][5] that served as inspiration for the Kurzgesagt app Universe in a Nutshell.[6][7]

In 2012, Cary and Michael Huang released The Scale of the Universe 2.[8][9][10]

In 2018, The Scale of the Universe was included on NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day.[11]
