Hi person who was interested enough in me to come to this screen...
I'll apologise in advance for my typoes - the fingers move quicker than the brain and I don't always notice, especially since I'm mildly dyslexic. There are some words esp. with double letters, that I can NEVER remember how to spell correctly. I hope I'm not leaving too long a trail of misspelt headers behind me...
I'd like to write articles for the mental health, Australian and Cookery portions of the Wikipedia, and I steer clear of science/mathematics - my eyes glaze over when I even see those headers ;P
I was quite a keen photographer in the past, but I have boxes and boxes of photos of Australian plants, animals and scenery in my cupboard and I'm going through some of them and finding illustrations suitable for wikipedia articles. These are the articles I have illustrated with my own images thusfar:
Articles I have contributed substantial content to [usually by starting from scratch or adding to a stub article] Because I've started them from scratch they still need a lot of work, so if you have any information to add please do!:
Books and Writing
Arts and Crafts
Australiana
- eucalyptus; tree fern;
- ANZAC Day;
- Play School; Sesame Street; Young Talent Time; Skippy the bush kangaroo
- National Parks (Tasmania, Australia); Dandenong Ranges National Park;
- Australian native animals; Australian native plants;
Health Issues
- Mental illness; social phobia; insomnia; cyclothymia; dysthymia; psychosomatic illness; MCS; rabies; panic attack;
- melanin; mole (skin marking); PCOS; pelvic ultrasound; ectopic pregnancy; menopause;
Cooking/Food
- Lime; sugar beet; fructose; enchilada; milk bar; ice cream; citrus; tapioca; sago; cardamom
- cake; sauce; custard; trifle; egg; soy sauce
Animals'
Other
- cornett; Demosthenes; Robin Williams; Eddie Murphy; ; seed; detonator;
- schooner; sloop; sailing ship
Plus a whole lot of administrative shuffling, copy-editing and link/title-correcting... boring but necessary! If you want to see anything else I've been messing with then look at the 'articles' list... warning - it is very very long because it insists on listing every single page that I've moved/renamed/detypofied whether I call it a 'minor' change or not! I wish there was a way to make it list ONLY pages I have created from scratch... that would be an interesting feature. Click on the user name and see what articles they started.
