This is a list of episodes for season 5 of the machinima comedy series Red vs. Blue. Template:Spoiler

Episode 78

Template:Machinima episode Church returns to the Blue Base where Junior, the baby to which a now-comatose Tucker has given birth, is wreaking havoc off-screen. Doc informs Church that the baby has drunk half a gallon of blood from Caboose after the latter was given a snack in exchange. After Caboose complains of dizziness and collapses, Church and Doc argue about the situation until a spaceship crashes into the gulch on top of Donut; Church leaves to investigate. The Reds bicker about rescue plans until Sarge leaves to retrieve a "levitation ray" from the Red Base, taking their jack and shovels with him. Church arrives and claims the ship with the word 'dibs' and threatens the Reds with the Blue Team's tank, Sheila.

Episode 79

Template:Machinima episode As Church argues with Simmons and Grif over possession of the ship, a tapping noise begins to sound from the ship. After Sarge returns without the "levitation ray", Sheila abruptly leaves. The Reds aim their weapons at Church, forcing him to retreat. Returning to the base, he finds that Doc has taken Junior for a walk, Tucker remains comatose, and Caboose still lies on the floor.[1] Meanwhile, the Reds attempt to enrage Donut to invigorate him sufficiently with adrenaline in order to raise the ship from underneath.

Episode 80

Template:Machinima episode Church asks Doc for Vic's phone number. However, Doc first introduces Church to Junior, represented by a miniature Covenant Elite. Church's attempt to contact Vic fails when an answering machine with a long automated message handles his call. Meanwhile, without having rescued Donut, the Reds are becoming irritated by the tapping noise that continues from the previous episode. After the Reds begin to quit their rescue attempts, the back door of the ship opens, and an unseen entity emerges from the ship as the episode fades to black.

Episode 81

Church finally reaches the end of the automated prompts and proceeds to leave a message to Vic. However, he is interrupted by another message stating that Vic's mailbox is full. Furious, he explains to Doc about the dire situation, due to half the team being down and the arrival of the dropship. Church guesses that the dropship may hold reinforcements or a freelancer. The scene shifts to the Red team talking to the "reinforcement", who in fact is the Sister of Grif. Surprised and annoyed at his sibling's arrival, Grif asks her how she ended up in the future. Simmons asks Sister if she used the ship's hyperdrive or light drive to get into the canyon in the future. Her lack of understanding about hyperdrive leads Simmons to believe that she used the latter, which caused her and the ship to move forward in time as it was traveling to Blood Gulch. Grif realizes that Sister was the one tapping from the earlier episode, and starts to wonder where Donut went. The scene shifts to an underground cave; Donut's and Sarge's voices from the end of episode 77 can be heard above, shortly before the dropship crashes, after which Donut falls down into the cave.

Episode 82

Template:Machinima episode As Caboose attempts to find the new Red soldier using the sniper rifle, Church speculates as to what combat skills the reinforcement may have. Though Church becomes frustrated as Caboose adds poor ideas to the discussion, Tucker wakes from his coma and joins them. While briefly explaining the situation, Tucker immediately identifies the new soldier as a girl, despite standing hundreds of feet away. Meanwhile, Sister explains to the Reds that, under the impression that the Blood Gulch Commanding Officer has died, Command has promoted a soldier to the position and sent her to fill the new low-level opening. While Simmons presses to discover who has been promoted, Grif mocks Sarge's reliance on Command for information in light of their mistake, and enjoys it further when the Reds hold an impromptu funeral for Sarge.

Episode 83

Template:Machinima episode The Red Team holds Sarge's funeral, each giving a separate eulogy. Grif makes jokes; Simmons announces his campaign for Red leader; and Sister goes on a tangent about death and age. Finally Sarge, disgruntled, is buried alive.

Episode 84

Template:Machinima episode Church introduces Tucker to Junior, and the Blues discuss what to do with it. Meanwhile, Simmons, trying to take command of the Red Team, tries to order the others to run laps. Neither comply; instead, Grif argues that Simmons is not really in charge. When Simmons asked what Sarge supposedly died of, Sister reveals that it was an aspirin-overdose according to Command. It is revealed she is colorblind, and demands to know why they keep speaking of Red command when the "Blue guys" were the ones that really sent her. Simmons rushes to dig Sarge from his grave. Underground, Donut wakes up and finds himself in the cavern. He sees two stationary suits of armor, one cobalt and one black, and decides to wait awhile until the people within them awaken.

Episode 85

Template:Machinima episode The Reds argue whether to keep Sister. Simmons suggests that they hold her hostage from the Blues, but then decides to unearth Sarge. Grif initially wants to lie to her that they are in fact the Blues, but decides to rid the team of her before Sarge discovers the circumstances. Meanwhile, Doc examines Sheila, who, according to Church, has been acting strangely and saying "random threatening things". Grif confronts the Blues and convinces them to take Sister. Simmons appears and exclaims that Sarge has disappeared from his grave and that they need Sister for leverage.

Episode 86

Template:Machinima episode Church fills Sister in on the basics of Blue team, stating that the team's only rule is not to kill the commanding officer. Meanwhile, Simmons explains to Grif that, instead of Sarge's body, he discovered a large cavern. Back at Blue base, Sister is introduced to Tucker, Junior, and Caboose before she notices an approaching figure in black armor.

Episode 87

Template:Machinima episode The episode opens with Grif and Simmons staring at Sarge's now empty grave. After a brief argument, Simmons, fearing a Blue attack is imminent, manages to force Grif to venture into the hole despite his evident chiroptophobia. Meanwhile, at the Blue base, the Blue team comes under heavy fire from Tex. They take cover behind their base as Tex continues to fire on them. After Sister attempts to stop Tex firing and Church is shot in the head, Tex explains that she had to make sure that no one had been possessed by O'Malley. Church tries to make a suggestion that Sheila might be possessed but Tex is too distracted by Sister, furiously demanding why they have a new girl on the squad.

Episode 88

The episode opens with Sarge pondering whether or not the underground cave he has fallen into is heaven. After a short while he begins to ponder whether or not it could be hell; when Donut appears he seems certain that it is. Back at the Blue base Church and Tucker discuss the advantages and disadvantages of having two women in their team. Back in the cave, Donut points out what he believes to be a subterranean Blue Base and some form of vehicle resembling the motorcycle he stole from O'Malley. Simmons and Grif reestablish radio contact with Sarge — Donut's radio having been destroyed in the fall. Simmons and Grif report their location to Sarge, who sets off with Donut to find them.

Episode 89

Template:Machinima episode Simmons and Grif are waiting for Sarge but Grif is getting nervous over the possibility of bats in the cave and wants to go and wait by a light in the distance. Simmons refuses until Grif suggests there may also be snakes (of which Simmons is terrified) and so they agree to go. Meanwhile, Doc finishes examining Shiela and comes up with the diagnosis that something is wrong. The Blues, finding this information useless, decide the best course of action is to reboot her systems, picking Caboose for the task. Back in the cave, Donut and Sarge examine the bodies Donut found earlier but are distracted when Sarge spots something nearby. Grif and Simmons are discussing the purpose of lights in a cave when someone shoots Simmons with a pink projectile in the neck and he passes out. Grif turns to see who it was and is shot repeatedly with the same projectiles.

Episode 90

Template:Machinima episode Doc learns about the presence of Sister, and insists on giving her a physical. Sister joins Tucker and Doc in conversation, and then agrees to go with Doc into the base for a physical that will involve Sister removing her clothing, leaving Tucker in disbelief and shock. Donut and Sarge find Simmons lying on the ground in the cavern, and he explains that he was tranquilized, and that his attackers have apparently taken Grif with them. Simmons uses a tracking device and discovers that Grif is about a tenth of a mile away, but Sarge is unwilling to go look for him until Simmons tells him that the attackers have also taken Sarge's shotgun. Meanwhile, Church and Caboose explain the plan of deactivating Sheila to Tex, who agrees, to Church's surprise. Caboose will distract Sheila by talking to her so Tex can access a panel on Sheila's rear and reboot her. While Caboose is practicing lines with Tex, Tucker walks up and thinks that Caboose is actually asking Tex out. When he insists that Tex should "get with" him instead, she knocks him out with her rifle.

Episode 91

Template:Machinima episode The Episode opens with Tucker looking for Junior, finding him upon entering the Blue Base. While there, he overhears Doc's inspection of Sister. Various suggestive comments are made making references to the state of Sister's naked body that entices Tucker to take a peek. However, he is warded off by Doc. Meanwhile, the Reds look for Grif. They find him (along with Sarge's shotgun) and he claims that he was questioned by his captors. The episode then shifts back to the Blues, where Church is giving Caboose some suggestions regarding how to distract Sheila. Caboose makes very obvious comments as to what is really going on, making Sheila suspicious before Tex secretly deactivates her from behind. Caboose's conversation with Sheila begins to describe O'Malley's disappearence; Sheila begins to disclose the identity of O'Malley's new host, but is shut down right before she finishes.

Episode 92

Template:Machinima episode

Caboose tries to convince Church that Sheila should be turned back on as she knows where O'Malley is. Tex informs them that Sheila is a wreck, so Church comes up with the idea of transferring Sheila's intelligence to the crashed ship's onboard computer. In the underground cave, Grif tries to explain to the others about what he saw, while Donut argues with Simmons about drugs. Grif's claims of bat-like creatures is met with a dismissive attitude from Sarge, who is convinced that Grif has gone insane. Tex hooks Sheila up to the ship and talks Caboose through the transfer process. Grif recounts his interrogation, and mentions that Andy was present at his encounter with the creatures, which allowed him to understand what his captors were saying. In a flashback, it is shown that Grif was indeed interrogated by two partially-seen characters, who are looking for "the kid and the sword". Sarge still doubts Grif, but after hearing that Andy may be the key to working out what's going on, he congratulates Simmons on successfully uncovering a "diabolical plot", to the frustration of Grif.

Episode 93

Template:Machinima episode

Church talks to Tex about her absence (recapping the events in Out of Mind). Church questions York's presence in the future but Tex speculates that his armor's special healing ability might have kept him alive. Tex reveals that the logs from Wyoming's helmet reveal that "something is going on" and that there are "a lot of people working against us". Tex also reveals that Wyoming was teleported away from her before she could question him further, leading Church to remember his last teleporting experience. After learning from Tex that Wyoming's AI is named Gamma, he surmises that Gary (the computer at the windmill from Season 4) and it are the same. Church calls Gary, confronting him with his suspicions. Gary soon hangs up on Church, where it is then revealed that Wyoming is at the windmill with him. Gary reassures Wyoming that "we are close to the end, we will not be stopped now". Church is then called by Vic and told to attack the Reds. Meanwhile, the Red team look for Andy and Grif's captors and come upon a computer hooked up to a 'camera' that shows all of Blood Gulch.

Notes

  1. ^ In this conversation, Church mentions to Caboose that it has been "like an hour" since Junior has been born.
