I am a geek and nerd with interests in science, particularly mathematics and computer science. I am also interested in philosophy and am currently reading Ray Monks' biography of Wittgenstein, 'The Duty of Genius'.
My username is derived from The book of the new sun.
I am quite interested in wikipedia, though I'm a bit concerned about the potential for abuse in having such an easily changed medium as a basis for an encyclopedia - it's all too easy for advertising to be inserted - or even outright propaganda. Sure, many people watching the page can spot some problems, but the John Seigenthaler Sr. Wikipedia biography controversy resulted after bogus claims went uncorrected for at least four months.
What about people with political agendas? Are political candidates turning their entries into hagiography?

Corrected grammatical error in my user page that made me sound like a bad imitation of a hip-hop artist. I really must have been short of sleep that time I edited the page...

I'm gradually morphing this page into something approaching my activities in Wikipedia - closer to official Wikipedia policy. However, this change may take place asymptotically! Autarch 17:44, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
