Image:Gomi Kosuke.jpg

I am not sure why you have commented on this image. The fair use rational is given on the page:

Fair use for [[Gomi Kosuke] The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

  1. it is a historically significant photo of a famous individual;
  2. it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality)
  3. the photo is only being used for informational purposes.

The image also meets all nine criteria per WP:Fair Use guidelines. If I am missing something, please specify. --MChew 15:04, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No probs. Thank you for your diligence. And by the way, congrats on passing the 12,000 mark. Awesome! --MChew 16:14, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mouse Traps

My points are made on the discussion page of the mouse trap article and I would prefer for this conversation to be had there. One might argue that it's necessary to show how a mouse trap works; in that case a drawing or diagram will do perfectly well. There are photos on the page of the traps in their "empty" state, as well as humane traps with mice inside, these are informative enough and I only object to the images of dead animals. This is particularly an issue because "Mouse Trap" is also the name of a children's board game, and it was the history of this that I was looking for. I found the images of the dead mice to be shocking and violent, and more importantly, not suitable for anybody searching for information about a children's game. I was hoping for my search for "mouse trap" to lead to a disambiguation page - if it will lead to this page instead, the images should be removed. As I say, they have no informative value anyway, as long as less graphic diagrams are substituted.

Bob Knight "Vandalism"

You recently gave me a "last warning" based on my edit to the Bob Knight page.

If you took the time to look at the changes, you'll see I removed vandalism and moved an external link up to a more appropriate placement in the article.

I know that anons tend to be vandals, but rather than immediately assuming what I did was vandalism, consider taking the time to look at what the edits did.

--Me.

I removed the speedy/copyvio notice from this. It turns out that they're just sucking up Wikipedia articles and republishing them under the GFDL. Check the notice on the page you quoted. We got there first :). Thanks for reporting, though - Alison 17:55, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox problems

There is something wrong with the recent changes patrol box on my page. It seems to have changed to "This user was a recent changes patroller, and changed to a picture of a cross like a block. Why has this happened, and how??? Retiono Virginian 17:30, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed now, by somehow reloading exactly the same template onto the page, it's a complete mystery how and why this happened, but it seemed it was potraying me as some kind of vandal, the image that was used in the box didn't exsist either. Retiono Virginian 18:36, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Teddy

I reported a sockpuppet using twinkle. He is the sockpuppeter. There are at least two accounts who I think are of him, as they all edit similarly, adn all are doing nothing but adding hoaxes. Karrmann 20:52, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thanks, I'll take you up on that offer as soon as I can think of anything interesting to put on it. I enjoyed my weekend but I was strangely keen to come back and finish my translation. Have you seen this? I do not believe it is completely factual, as many users have been missed out. I also don't see your name on the list, and you could easily be. Having the lowest amount being 5000 edits. Retiono Virginian 17:18, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Either that, or you've made tons of edits in the two months since it was updated. Cheers! ProhibitOnions (T) 21:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: My talk page

Responded at the appropriate venue. (cross post) No, I wasn't talking about you when I pointed to WP:BITE. I was talking about the multiple people who accused this guy of disruption for filing a downright strange checkuser request. However, it seems this guy has been here before, so my point is moot. Re: Why?

Responded at the appropriate venue. I deleted that templates because I was under the impression that consensus had been formed here to consolidate all the various localities within the UK to one infobox, and as the template wasn't being used at the time, I was under the impression it had been orphaned and could safely be deleted. ^demon[omg plz] 13:54, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Responded at the appropriate venue. Hello Tellyaddict, thanks for your kind support in my RfB. Sadly, it didn't pass, but I appreciate the support, particularly your trust in me and I do intend to run again eventually. See you around! Majorly (o rly?) 02:39, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Responded at the appropriate venue. In general: if you are giving multiple warnings and the user keeps doing something, such that it is "becoming annoying", give an emphatic final warning that the behavior is prohibited and that if the user continues he will be blocked. —Centrxtalk • 04:16, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Centrx, I havent spoke to you since about October, hope you are doing OK! I thought that user (Crazyman or something like that!) would get the point that it was suitable for a block if he continued, another sysop blocked user who I warned for no copyright tagged images about 7 times, and multiple one from Orphan Bot. Apolgies if you believe I did wrong, happy editing! Tellyaddict 10:08, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you did anything wrong. I was just making a productive suggestion that might be less work on your part and might convey the consequences better. —Centrxtalk • 14:31, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Userpage

Responded at the appropriate venue. I must say actually. I liked your userpage the way it was, it looks a little empty at the minute. Also about the travelling, I don't know where I will be living permenantly it is such a confusing system. I only moved to Virginia to simply work at the university, and when I'm done. I can return home. (Which should be at the end of the summer). Retiono Virginian 15:51, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
