  • "during the Battle of Ipswich in Wales"? This edit seems unnecessary, possibly inaccurate. Also there wasn't a battle in Ipswich in this year. Also Ipswich isn't in Wales. Predglyn 15:10 GMT 25 August, 2005

Did Gregory XV become pope the 9th or 14th of February, 1621 ?

[edit]

These pages state that he became Pope the 9th. The wikipedia page "list of popes" also states that he became Pope the 9th.

This page claims he became Pope the 14th. One of these pages must be wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kease (talkcontribs) 01:19, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now, that's the kind of small factual discrepency that most Wikipedians can work out on a Talkpage, without a big bumpersticker plastered across the article. I came here seeing if I could help, but the fact is too minute to bother with. Anyone can check Ludwig Pastorv against Catholic Encyclopedia. a "Google vote" might be considered less than definitive. --Wetman 01:05, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gregory XV was elected on the 9th, but he was installated on the 14th. (Catholic Encyclopedia[1], J.N.D. Kelly Dictionary of Popes, Salvador Miranda[2]). This user wanted to give the installation days as "papacy began dates".Kask 15:42, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
