Interlachen High School is a public high school located in Interlachen, Florida. It is in Putnam County. The principal is Mrs. Suzanne Mathe.

Students

There are currently 983 students enrolled at IHS. Many of these students previously attended C.H. Price or Q.I. Roberts Middle School, but some of them came from Palatka middle schools Jenkins or Beasley.

There is only a 5% dropout rate. 58% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. 35% of the students have been absent for more than 21 days. The student-to-teacher ratio is approximately 21:1 (or 42:2).

Classes

There are many Honors classes, including English, mathematics, and social studies. The school also has an Advanced Placement Biology and Advanced Placement U.S. Government and Politics. Other classes that are unique to the school include TV & Video Production and Practical Arts (9th grade only).

Visitors and Assemblies

The school has had many acclaimed visitors and assemblies, including a guest speaker Chad Foster.

Band

The band is one of the best bands in the country and is led by Mr. Nicholas Albanese. The band has been to many festivals, including Florida Bandmaster's Association (FBA) and festivals in Canada. They are currently planning a trip to London.
