Golfer Infobox

I made this userbox and first put it on Tiger Woods's page with a font size of 87% on Nov 24 2006. For all other golfers, I've used 85%. As for the width of the box, I've adjusted it so that the major championship years can all fit in one line. Therefore, the box width varies with each golfer. I didn't like the idea of a set size for the infobox, which is part of the reason why I made this one. Notice Jack Nicklaus's is the widest because I had to fit 6 years in one row, but maintained 1 row for each major, which I believe looks cleaner than if it were in multiple rows. But I digress. Essentially, I suggest keeping the major championship section's years all in 1 line, and let that determine your length. Thanks for the tip about Ernie Els. Seon Hwa Leee - stub class?

I copy and pasted the stub class from another page and forgot to change it.! It should I think be a start class going by the criteria. I've made the change. As for importance we have no guidelines to go on so I used the following logic for sorting female golfers:-
Annika Sorenstam and Kathy Whitworth are obviously Top class given their careers.
Pioneers such as Louise Suggs are probably High Class as are winners of the main year end awards e.g Karrie Webb who I didn't classify as I made contributions to her article.
Veteran golfers with multiple wins are probably Mid class e.g Dottie Pepper and Dale Reid.
Seon Hwa Lee has an ROY and 6 professional wins but I felt needed a few more wins or a few more years to be classed as Mid hence it had to be Low.

Any thoughts on how we might determine importance other than my personal logic?

Ms. Castrale's image is under threat of deletion [1] . Any ideas on how to encourage someone to step forward and contribute their own photo for the article? In your opinion, is it fair to say a free image can not be reasonably found or created at this time? Zzorse 02:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project News

I am experimenting with a new layout for easy readability, as well as to make the newsletter look more attractive and more like other ones. If someone feels it could be better, go right ahead and change it. The newsletter page is right here.

An assessment department has been set up. To find out how to assess an article, go to the assessment page.

I have asked Snowolf if his bot could help in tagging articles. The response is still pending, but hopefully we will soon have more of an idea of how many articles we have.

During the two months since the last newsletter, Annika Sorenstam has reached good article status. Congratulations to all who worked on this article.

2006 Number Ones for deletion

Don't change or erase other people's votes on deletion discussions, like you did to mine. Actions like that are considered vandalism and can get you blocked from editing Wikipedia.--Atlan 20:27, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
