The Central Baseball League, formerly the Texas-Louisiana League, is a minor league whose members are Independent of any Major Leauge Baseball affiliations.

The Texas-Louisiana League was formed in 1994, when potential owners became frustrated that the Texas League had no plans to expand into other Texas locations. With expansion into Missouri and Mississippi, the league changed its name. In eight seasons, the league has produced seven different champions. Only Alexandria has won the title twice (1997 and 1998).
