Mechanical Engineering is the application of physical principles into the creation of useful devices, objects and machines. Mechanical Engineers create drawings of the objects to be created. Prior to the advent of the Graphical Computer most Mechanical Engineers created drawings with the aid of a mechanical Drafting Board.

The Graphical Computer made the creation of physical models and drawings using Computer Aided Drafting programs possible. Most CAD programs are now three dimensional such that objects can be viewed from any angle.

Mechanical Engineers use the principles of heat, force, and energy balance to analyze static and dynamic systems.
