Notes

  • The first single from the album is "Little Sister", which was released on March 14 in the United Kingdom. The video for the single was filmed in February.
  • The album was delayed during 2004 because of some changes: bassist Nick Oliveri was fired and Screaming Trees' former member Mark Lanegan went on tour with his own band. He's nevertheless still heard singing on several songs of the album.
  • There have been rumors about Mark Lanegan leaving the band, which Josh Homme eventually clarified in several interviews, was never the case. Nevertheless he encouraged these rumors to draw off the attention, which gave the press "something to focus on while I was just making the record."
  • The album was featured on Need for Speed: Underground 2. The song was "In My Head."
  • The final item on the song listing (behind the cd on the normal version, or in the bookelt in the deluxe), below "Long Slow Goodbye" reads
The Fun Machine took a shit and died
Was lost or misplaced. (There is a reward for the return of said tapes)
