Good Girl Gone Bad is the third album by R&B/pop singer Rihanna. It has been confirmed for a June 5 2007 release. The title was confirmed by Rihanna's official website.[2] The album will have a different feel from her past two, with more up-tempo and mid-tempo melodies.

"I think that's where I want to go on this one. You feel different every album, and (at) this stage I feel like I want to do a lot of uptempo (songs). I want to keep people dancing but still be soulful at the same time."[3]

Rihanna confirmed she worked with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on three songs including "Rehab" and "Lemme Get That".[4]

In interviews many have questioned the meaning and reasoning of the album title. During an interview on UK radio station Capital FM, Rihanna stated

"Bad is not sleazy. Bad has it’s own term to every individual and in my case it just means I’ve gotten a little rebellious on the album, broken out of my shell and I'm taking risks... Michael Jackson "bad" [5]

Other than the producers listed, Rihanna has been working with her label mate Ne-Yo, who wrote her top-ten hit "Unfaithful", on new material as well as vocal techniques. Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake & Timbaland are confirmed guests on the album.

Later, during an interview she stated "How would you feel if someone came in to your home and began taking everything they wanted that looked cool, and gave you nothing in return. Pretty crazy, right? That's how I feel about the piracy of music." [6]

The U.S edition is in enhanced format to include music videos, photos, liner notes, web features, and other such content. The UK edition of the album will be released with a digipack bonus CD full of remixes.[7]
