Graveworm is a Melodic/Black-Metal Band from Italy. It was signed by Serenades Records in 1997, thereafter they released the first EP, "Eternal Winds". During their first tour together with Crematory, Therion and Lake of Tears, the band promoted the album "When Daylight`s Gone".

In 1998 the EP "Underneath The Crescent Moon" was released, featuring Sarah Jezebel Deva (Cradle of Filth, Therion) in the track "Awake...Thy Angels Of Sorrow". Graveworm lined up the same year at the Wacken-Open-Air (Germany), together with bands like Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth and Vader.

The second album "As The Angels Reach The Beauty" was finished in 1999, followed by an tour through Europe together with Agathodaimon . "Source of Malice" attended in 2001, which allowed them their first headliner tour together with Dornenreich, Vintersorg and Darkwell. 2002 they changed to the german "Nuclear Blast" label; Didi Schraffel (bass) left the band and Harry Klenk (guitars) was replaced by Eric Treffel. Eric Treffel lefts the band in the same year and gets replaced by Eric Righi (guitar)

Together with Righi, they produce "Engraved in Black", which is finished in 2003, enhanced with a feature of REM`s "Loosing my religion". Shortly after the release Stefan Unterpertinger (guitar) quitted and Lukas Flarer joined the band. Also Harald Klenk, former guitarist and now bass, re-joined the band.

2004 they play on the "X-Mas Festival Tour" together with Destruction, Kataklysm and many others. Martin Innerbichler (drums) takes a time-out for studying and Moritz Neuner (afore Darkwell and Shadowcast drummer) takes his job.

Their newest album "(N)utopia" is ready-made in 2005, followed by a tour in April.
